Websphere Systems Engineer - Wellington The company, a mature and established organisation with a major commitment to the Middleware Application Environment, has a need for people with excellent Middleware technical experience and great interpersonal skills. They now seek to recruit a person with Websphere Application Server, and Filenet experience. We would also be very interested if you have Message Queue and Message Broker experience too. You will be experienced and confident in working with a wide range of people internally and externally. Your interpersonal and technical skills are well proven. You will be: ~responsible for servers in the Middleware Application environment, maintaining highly complex technical solutions through planning, developing, implementing and maintaining the overall integration of the environment. ~configuration of the environment, assessing and optimising system performance. ~monitoring server performance, analysis to see trends and making changes to improve performance. ~escalating support and leading troubleshooting and problem resolution. ~evaluating timing and implementtion of next versions for existing environment with current architecture. ~developing new applications and integrating new technologies, as well as supporting new application projects into the middleware applicaiton space ~involved in design and development of specialised automation tools, scripts and processes. ~involved with others in the company in developing local engineering standards, best practices, and support guidelines and procedures. ~involved with DR planning and testing ~provide metrics on environment availability and health. ~working with vendors and external suppliers and users ~working with management, senior staff and technical experts internally and externally You have ~great written and oral English language skills ~excellent social skills and collaborative team skills ~the ability to look pro actively at the Middleware environment and ask questions about the health and improvement of each situation ~experience to project manage technology changes would be great too.
